+ Recruit a Friend into Staffordshire Police UNISON
Staffordshire Police Unison is proud to be able to boast that this Branch represents over 75% of all Staffordshire Police Staff employees. The branch is therefore the Police Staff representative and is treated as such by our employer.

It is essential that for the Branch to remain viable, maintain our current level of growth and to comply with the Branch Five Year Plan every effort must be made to increase membership and RECRUIT.

Traditionally recruiting is the responsibility of Branch Officers and Departmental Stewards. It is apparent that a number of our members do recruit their friends and colleagues. This is done for a number of reasons, and is appreciated by the Branch Executive. At the March Branch Executive meeting it was decided to reward those already recruiting, and encourage others to do so.

Therefore, with effect from 1st June any member who recruits a friend will be rewarded with a sum of £10.00 per person. The criteria is that the recruited friend must remain a member for six months from the date of acceptance to qualify for the award and the recruited person must not have previously been a member of Staffordshire Police UNISON. The money will be paid in the form of a cheque once the six months has passed.

Where our Branch Officers and Stewards have recruited a new member the £10.00 award will be paid to a nominated charity. The charity will be decided at the April 2005 Branch Executive Meeting and suggestions from Members will be taken into consideration.

If you require a copy of an application form specially designed for recruiting a friend please contact Claire Bruus at the Branch Office on Ext 5367.
