COMPUTER SKILLS
This course aims to develop your skills and confidence in using a computer and are run in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The courses, which are set at 3 levels, will cover:-

Level One – this course is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of using a computer but has either never switched one on or has very limited experience. The Course covers Word Processing, Databases and Spreadsheets.

Level Two – This course is similar to Level One but covers further sk8ills in using a computer. It is designed for people who have completed the Level One course or similar, or who have some computer experience. The course covers the use of Word Processing, Databases, Spreadsheets and The Internet

Level Three – This is an advanced course for anyone who has proficiently and confidently completed the Level 2 course or similar. It requires you to work individually and complete a small project. The course covers the use of Word Processing, Databases and spreadsheets.

 

Courses also on offer are:-

INTRODUCTION TO WEB-DESIGN
This course is an introduction to designing web pages for the Internet. You will need to have completed a Level 2 course or similar and have good word-processing skills. The course covers the use of creating web pages and design and presentation skills.

POWERPOINT
This course aims to develop presentation and word-processing skills using the PowerPoint Program. Part of the course also includes how to find specific information off the Internet. You will need to have completed a Level 2 course or similar and have good word processing skills. The course covers the use of PowerPoint and The Internet.

PUBLISHER
This course is for people who want to learn design and publication skills using the Publisher Program. You will need to have completed a Level 2 course or similar, and have good word-processing skills. The Course covers the use of Publisher and design and presentation skills.

FLEXIBLE LEARNING:-
For shift workers or people who cannot attend a course every week in the evening, Our Flexible Learning Days offer any of the above Courses that can be attended solely during the day, or can be alternated with one evening per week to suit your own requirements. Also, if you want to attend a Course only during the day, you can enrol for a course on any Monday or Tuesday during term time and complete the course in the amount of hours to suit you.

All the above courses are free and accredited through the Open College Network so everyone completing a course will receive a certificate of achievement.
